Dean of the College of Information Technology at University of Bahrain Takes Part in ISACA Bahrain’s Visit to ARABOSAI

As part of its commitment to strengthening cooperation between higher education, professional associations, and regional audit institutions, the University of Bahrain participated, through Dr Mazen Ali, Dean of the College of Information Technology and Chairman of the Board of ISACA Bahrain, in an official visit by the chapter’s delegation to the Arab Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ARABOSAI).

The visit was part of the implementation of the memorandum of understanding signed between the two sides, which aims to support professional training, exchange expertise, develop research, and align practices with international standards. During the visit, the delegation discussed partnership opportunities in information systems audit, cybersecurity, technology governance, and capacity building for auditors in Arab audit institutions.

The chapter also carried out a technical review of ARABOSAI’s IT audit guide to ensure its alignment with global best practices. In recognition of its professional role, ISACA Bahrain received an official invitation to attend ARABOSAI’s annual general meeting as an observer.

This participation reflects the presence of the University’s academic expertise, represented by the College of Information Technology, in regional professional work. It also highlights the University’s role in linking academic knowledge with professional practice, supporting digital transformation, and advancing audit work in the Arab public sector. The partnership demonstrates the strength of cooperation among universities, professional bodies, and audit institutions in advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions) and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
