University of Bahrain Partnership with AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation and ISACA Bahrain Chapter: Tech Talk, Women in Tech

The University of Bahrain demonstrated its commitment to professional development and inclusive participation in the technology sector through its partnership with the AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation and the ISACA Bahrain Chapter, a leading professional organization in the fields of information systems governance and cybersecurity. The partnership supported “Women in Tech,” a free learning event hosted by the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF) on Tuesday, 29 April 2025,  at the BIBF Auditorium. The event showcased real stories of innovation, resilience, and leadership in technology, and offered participants 2 Continuing Professional Education (CPE) hours through ISACA.

The programme opened with a session titled “The Sky Wasn’t the Limit,”  followed by a panel discussion, “Real Stories, Real Impact: Women Who Inspire,” the event concluded with a Q&A session.

The initiative reflected UOB’s strategy of linking higher education with professional practice by connecting academic communities with industry bodies, philanthropic institutions, and professional networks. This collaboration between a university, a professional body, a foundation, and a financial training institute highlights the power of multi-sector partnerships in achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 5 (Gender Equality), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), demonstrating how knowledge institutions and professional organizations can work together to support women’s participation and career development in technology.
