A Lecture for UOB Students Promotes Child Health

A health awareness lecture at the University of Bahrain, titled “Healthy Eating Habits,” recently featured health promotion specialist Sanaa Al-Baker from the Ministry of Health. She presented a range of educational guidelines aimed at children and discussed methods for planning them. The goal is to enhance children’s health awareness through engaging and interactive methods.

The lecture, organized by the Community Service and Continuing Education Center in collaboration with the Bahrain Teachers College at the University of Bahrain, aimed to introduce students to the primary factors influencing children’s health behaviors related to nutrition. It highlighted the core concepts of a balanced diet and emphasized the importance of adopting healthy eating habits during early childhood.

The event specifically targeted fourth-year BTC students, as well as the wider UOB student body. The lecture witnessed remarkable interaction from participants, who showed great interest in applying the acquired health concepts in their daily lives and future classroom environments.
