Artificial Intelligence and Disability Lecture at UOB 

The Deanship of Student Affairs at the University of Bahrain organized a lecture titled “Psychological Adaptation of Persons with Disabilities in Light of the Use of Artificial Intelligence”. Dr. Mohammed Lakdar Roubi, professor of mental health and psychological counseling at the College of Arts, discussed the psychology of sensory perception, the mental resilience of individuals with disabilities, and how AI can be tailored to meet their psychological needs.

 

This lecture aimed to explore the psychological and social aspects of how individuals with disabilities interact with AI technologies and examine ways to foster positive adaptation using these tools. Additionally, the session aimed to offer practical recommendations to support educational and societal institutions in this effort.

 

The Disability Division is committed to integrating students with disabilities into society and enhancing their skills through targeted programs and activities. Currently, it serves 118 students with disabilities and special needs at the University of Bahrain.
