UOB Organizes Six Scientific Conferences in The Coming Semester
Prof. Hamzah: Modern Visual Communication Programs Help in Stimulating Scientific Research
The President of the University of Bahrain (UOB), Prof. Riyad Yousif Hamzah, confirmed that the National University continues its scientific and research output and holds sober scientific conferences in cooperation with various organizations, noting that the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic have not prevented the University from proceeding with its plans to revitalize scientific research and hold virtual local and global conferences through electronic communication.
Prof. Hamzah indicated that national and regional research priorities are of interest and they consist most of the topics of University conferences and seminars, such as renewable energy research, water and food security, smart sustainable cities, artificial and information intelligence, and e-learning.
Also, the University President stated that "The Deanship of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research is preparing to organize six scientific conferences in the next semester of the academic year 2020-2021 in cooperation with colleges and several international professional organizations" noting that such conferences are held in cooperation with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET).
Moreover, the University President urged all its affiliates to keep pace with the scientific developments and methods of research fields that provide solutions to industrial processes and daily life problems and contribute to innovations and creations.
For his part, the Dean of Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, Dr. Mohammed Redha Qadir, explained that the first of the six events that the University is organizing will be in September, which is when the “Smart Cities Forum” will be held, followed in October by the “International Conference on Business and Industrial Data Analysis... Towards a Sustainable Economy ".
He further stated that “while in November the “International Conference on Decision Aid Applications” will be held, followed by two conferences in December, one of which is the “International Conference on Innovation, Information Intelligence, Computing and Technologies,” and the other is the “Sixth International Conference on E-learning.” Noting that all these conferences will be held through visual communication and will be indexed scientifically, as the number of participants in one conference will not be less than 120 participants.
