College of Applied Studies Highlights Academic Advisor’s Role in Supporting Education

The College of Applied Studies at the University of Bahrain explained the role of academic advising in supporting students’ educational journeys and enhancing their academic success. The workshop organized by the College’s Student and Advising Committee on Wednesday, titled “Academic Advising: Toward a More Sustainable and Effective Education”.
Two faculty members from the College of Applied Studies—Nabeel Bani Hani and Dr. Fatima Janahi—led the workshop. They emphasized the vital role of academic advisors in guiding students, helping them make informed decisions about their study paths, selecting courses aligned with their abilities and future goals, and maximizing the use of the Student Information System (SIS).
The workshop aimed to help students utilize the system’s electronic services, particularly those related to academic advising. These services include viewing study plans, registering for courses, and tracking academic performance.
