University of Bahrain and Government Hospitals Sign Cooperation Agreement in Health Education, Training, and Scientific Research

The University of Bahrain and the Government Hospitals have signed a joint cooperation agreement to enhance and develop mutual collaboration between the two parties.

The agreement was signed by Dr. Fuad Mohammed Al Ansari, President of the University of Bahrain, and Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Al Ansari, Chief Executive of the Government Hospitals, in the presence of a number of officials from both sides.

The framework agreement stipulates that the Government Hospitals and their human resources will contribute to supporting the processes of health education, training, and scientific research. In return, the University of Bahrain will contribute its human and material resources to enhancing and developing healthcare in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

This cooperation is established on an institutional basis to coordinate between therapeutic and preventive services in Government Hospitals and health education, while optimally utilizing the available capabilities of both parties. This contributes to supporting the objectives of the comprehensive development march, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the country, and the follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

The agreement aims to enhance cooperation between the University’s faculty members and the health professionals from the Government Hospitals in conducting joint research that contributes to the development of health services and nursing practices in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Furthermore, it aims to train students from the College of Health and Sport Sciences in the facilities of the Government Hospitals and to develop scientific and medical cooperation and the exchange of expertise between the two parties.
