Digital Information Integrity: A Consultation for a UN Code of Conduct

Dr. Ahlam Al-Qasimi participated in a United Nations consultative session to develop a global Code of Conduct for information integrity on digital platforms. This initiative brough together multi-stakeholder partnerships between the UN, member states, technology companies, and civil society. Dr. Al-Qasimi’s role, alongside other Bahraini academics and specialists, was to provide localized perspectives to ensure the framework is both effective and inclusive. This collaborative effort highlights that strengthening information integrity is a foundational prerequisite for achieving the sustainable, aiming to create a digital ecosystem that is safer and more trustworthy for all.
