Live Screenings of Cinematic Films by UOB Media Students

Students in the “Television Program Production” course, a minor in Radio and Television within the Department of Mass Communication at the College of Arts, University of Bahrain, showcased their artistic creations in the form of short films during a live screening event held on Thursday, April 24, 2025. The event, titled “Cinema Hours,” took place at the Media Center on the university campus in Sakhir.

The initiative was led by the students, and the course instructor and program coordinator, Ms. Maryam Anwar Ahmed, described it as a valuable opportunity for students to present their cinematic work as a practical application of their theoretical studies and as motivation for other students to follow in their footsteps.

Four films were screened: “Final Project Saga” by students Jasim Ahmed Al-Jabbin and Ammar Jasim Mashkoor, “The Miracle Boy,” a group project, “The Unknown” by Abdullah Yasser Al-Koohaji, and “The Final Chapter” by Ammar Jasim Mashkoor. The acting cast included students Ahmed Muath Danwan, Redha Ali Al-Sitraawi, Hajar Qasim Al-Qassab, Hamza Ali Hasan, and Mohammed Jameel Al-Aradi.
