Organized by the University of Bahrain with the Participation of IT Experts “Intelligence in Informatics” Conference Explores Innovative Technologies and Future Ideas

A number of experts and specialists in the field of information technology discussed the latest ideas that can contribute to the development of innovative technological solutions in the future, during the activities of the International Conference on Innovation and Intelligence in Informatics, Computing and Technologies (3ICT2024). The conference was organized by the College of Information Technology at the University of Bahrain and held virtually.

The conference aimed to bring together researchers and experts from around the world on a scientific platform to enhance the exchange of knowledge and innovations in the fields of computing, advanced technologies, and artificial intelligence.

Over the course of three days, participants discussed key innovative solutions and future ideas for technological development through specialized scientific sessions, research papers, and presentations delivered by a distinguished group of prominent researchers and academics in the field.

The conference was inaugurated by the President of the University of Bahrain, Dr. Fouad Mohammed Al-Ansari, who delivered the opening keynote address highlighting the importance of the University of Bahrain’s commitment to promoting research initiatives and the exchange of expertise among researchers. He stated: “The University of Bahrain is firmly committed to supporting such initiatives, in line with Bahrain’s Vision 2030.” Dr. Al-Ansari also emphasized the importance of strengthening global research collaboration and described this year’s conference as “featuring a diverse range of presentations that delve into core technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, robotics, cybersecurity, and the Internet of Things.”

During the opening session, the Dean of the College of Information Technology, Dr. Hessa Jassim Al-Junaid, noted that the conference organizing committee received 381 research papers from several countries around the world. She explained that, following scientific review and evaluation, 131 papers were accepted. The conference brought together 486 authors and researchers from 36 different countries.

She added that the increase in the number of submitted papers and participants reflects the quality and significance of the research presented, its impact on the global research community, and the diversity of the participating scholarly community. She also noted that the accepted papers will be published in the IEEE Xplore Digital Library, the International Journal of Computing and Digital Systems, and the Arab Journal of Basic and Applied Sciences.
