President of the University of Bahrain Attends the Executive Council Meeting of the General Conference of the Association of Arab Universities

Dr. Fuad Mohammed Al-Ansari, President of the University of Bahrain, participated in the first meeting of the Executive Council for the 57th session of the General Conference of the Association of Arab Universities, hosted by Helwan University – Egypt’s Capital University.

In his capacity as Vice President of the current session, Dr. Al-Ansari chaired the opening of the meeting. The agenda included in-depth discussions on strengthening frameworks of cooperation between Arab universities and their international counterparts, in addition to other strategic topics in both the academic and research fields.

Dr. Al-Ansari stated: “The commitment demonstrated by all member universities reinforces our shared mission to advance higher education and scientific research across the Arab region.” He added: “These meetings are essential for developing tangible partnerships that enhance academic excellence, student mobility, and innovation, in line with the University of Bahrain’s strategic goals and its active role within this vital union.”

Founded in 1964 by a resolution of the League of Arab States, the Association of Arab Universities now represents more than 550 member institutions. Since establishing its permanent headquarters in Amman, the capital of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, in 1984, the Association has served as a key platform for coordinating and developing higher education across the Arab world. The University of Bahrain is a longstanding and active member of this esteemed organization.
