Withdrawal Service from a Course/Courses with (W)

The service is available through the Student Information System after the end of the drop and tuition refund period. During this period, the student may withdraw from any registered course(s), and the symbol “W” will be recorded in the student’s academic record without affecting the cumulative GPA.

  • Conditions

    1. The withdrawal shall not result in the registered credit hours falling below 12, unless it is the student’s first withdrawal, or the withdrawal is from all registered courses.
    2. A student enrolled in the Foundation Program is not permitted to withdraw.
  • Governing Laws and Regulations

    • Article (19) of the Study and Examination Regulations at the University of Bahrain.
    • Article (23) of the Study and Examination Regulations at the University of Bahrain.
    • Article (28) of the Study and Examination Regulations at the University of Bahrain.

    1. Submit the request through the Student Information System.
    2. The student receives a One-Time Password (OTP) to verify the request.
    3. Upon confirmation of the OTP, the request is automatically approved.
