RMS, UoB sign cooperation agreement to enhance medical education in Bahrain

Manama, Nov. 17 (BNA): The Royal Medical Services (RMS) signed a cooperation agreement with the University of Bahrain (UoB) to enhance medical education and training and promote the exchange of academic and professional expertise in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The agreement was signed by Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education and Chairman of the University’s Board of Trustees, and Brigadier General Dr. Shaikh Fahad bin Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, Commander of RMS, in the presence of senior officials from both sides.
The agreement focuses on developing joint educational and training programmes in medical fields, conducting and sharing scientific research, organising conferences, courses and workshops, and exchanging academic and medical expertise. It also aims to enhance clinical training and develop national capabilities to improve the quality of education and healthcare services.
Dr. Juma said the agreement marks an important step in advancing academic and research cooperation between universities and healthcare institutions in the Kingdom. He noted that the exchange of scientific and training expertise will help develop national talent and raise the standard of medical education and research.
On his part, Brigadier General Dr. Shaikh Fahad bin Khalifa said the agreement aligns with the Services’ strategy to support research, academic training and knowledge exchange, contributing to improving healthcare services and developing national competencies.
The agreement reflects the Services’ commitment to building strategic partnerships with academic and medical institutions in Bahrain in support of healthcare and educational development and service quality.
