“Shefra” Event Strengthens Students’ Cybersecurity Skills

An interactive event at the University of Bahrain raised students’ awareness of cybersecurity concepts and developed their technical and practical skills through simulated real-world challenges that required them to analyze problems and devise suitable solutions within a set time.

The IT College Society, under the supervision of the Deanship of Student Affairs, organized the event, titled “SHEFRA,” on Monday, 19 October 2026. It featured a series of intensive hands-on exercises designed to simulate realistic cybersecurity scenarios, in an interactive learning environment that combines technical knowledge with practical application.

The event aimed to develop students’ critical thinking and rapid-response skills and strengthen their ability to handle technical challenges. It also sought to foster teamwork and collaboration in tackling problems, enriching their university experience and preparing them for the demands of fast-evolving technical fields.
