Find Your Admission Result

After the announcement of admission results, follow these steps to check your admission status:

    1. Access the Student Information System website sis.uob.edu.bh .
    2. Access the link UOB Admission Requests.
    3. Choose (Admission Post Service).
    4. Enter the university ID in the username field and the password.

Applicants who submitted their applications through the Information & eGovernment Authority website can view their admission results by following the steps below:

    1. Visit the Student Information System (SIS) at sis.uob.edu.bh .
    2. Click on the “UOB Admission Requests” link.
    3. Select “Admission Post Service” from the list of options.
    4. Click on “Forgot Password?” — a new password will be sent to your registered mobile number and email address.
    5. Log in using your University ID as the username and the new password you received.
    6. Follow the steps outlined above to view your result

Student who applied via the Information & eGovernment Authority Website can update their contact details (email and mobile number) by following these steps:

  1. Visit University of Bahrain Services on IGA website.
  2. Complete the three-factor authentication.
  3. Click on “Click here to edit your personal details.”
  4. Enter the correct contact information.
  5. Click on “Save the changes.”

Find Your Admission Result

After the announcement of admission results, follow these steps to check your admission status:

Steps to view admission results for applicants via the University of Bahrain Admission System:

  2. Select “Admission Post Service” from the list of options.
  3. Enter the university ID in the username field and the password.

Steps to view admission results for applicants via the National Portal

  1. Visit the Admission System for University of Bahrain at admisson.uob.edu.bh .
  2. Select “Admission Post Service” from the list of options.
  3. Click on “Forgot Password?” — a new password will be sent to your registered mobile number and email address.
  4. Log in using your University ID as the username and the new password you received.
  5. Follow the steps outlined above to view your result

Student who applied via the Information & eGovernment Authority Website can update their contact details (email and mobile number) by following these steps:

  1. Visit University of Bahrain Services on the National portal bahrain.bh website.
  2. Complete the three-factor authentication.

 Admission Status Categories:

  1. View the student’s pledge, verify the student’s personal number and name, enter the University’s rules and regulations link for studying, if you are a student with a disability, please specify the type of disability or choose “other” for the rest of the students.
  2. Review the Orientation Program, view the instructions for changing choices, and instructions for canceling admission.
  3. Identify the parents, or one of them, whether they have attended university or not, and indicate the highest academic degree they have obtained.
  4. View the acceptance letter and the program you have been admitted to, the study duration of the Orientation program, and several key instructions.
  5. View the tuition fee payment instructions.
  6. Pay the tuition fees.

The University confirms that the application for admission shall be considered canceled if the student does not confirm his acceptance on the specified date.

Important note for scholarship students: You can print the acceptance letter through the website and deliver it to the entity providing the scholarship.

  1. University studies begin with a unified Foundation Program for all new undergraduate students. The program is designed to equip students with essential skills in English, academic subjects, and personal development, ensuring a successful transition into university-level studies. Completion of the Foundation Program is a prerequisite for admission to academic programs. In accordance with Article (10/Second) of the Study and Examination Regulations, the following categories of students are exempt from both the Foundation Program and the English language placement test:
    1. Students with a high school/secondary average of at least 90%.
    2. Students with an average score of not less than 90% in all English language courses at the secondary level.
    3. Students holding internationally recognized general secondary education certificates such as A-Level, IB, or AP, or their equivalents.
    4. Students holding a valid IELTS certificate with a minimum score of 5.5, or an equivalent score in the TOEFL test*.
    5. Students who have achieved at least a grade (C) in an English language course while studying at one of the following levels: O-Level, AS-Level, or A-Level. In such cases, an exemption request must be submitted to the English Language Center for review and approval, and then endorsed by the Registration and Academic Advising Department.
    6. Students holding an International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma, or an equivalent preparatory program qualification, who have achieved a minimum score of 3 out of 7 in Higher Level (HL) English, or 4 out of 7 in Standard Level (SL) English, regardless of the diploma pathway. An exemption request must be submitted to the English Language Center for review and approval, and then endorsed by the Registration and Academic Advising Department.
    7. Students holding an Advanced Placement (AP) qualification, or an equivalent preparatory program qualification, who have achieved a minimum score of 3 out of 5 in English. An exemption request must be submitted to the English Language Center for review and approval, and then endorsed by the Registration and Academic Advising Department.

* Students who wish to submit their certificates may do so within a maximum period of one week from the date of the official admission announcement. The submission date will be communicated at a later time.

  1. The Foundation Program serves as a transitional phase to ensure that students meet the required standards of competence in higher education. Students who do not fall under the exempted categories mentioned above will be placed into one of the following levels of the program:
    • Pre-intermediate level, or
    • Intermediate level, of the Foundation Program

Based on the results of a placement test conducted for this purpose, and in consideration of the specific language and technical requirements.

  1. Upon successful completion of the Pre-Intermediate level, students who attain a score of 90% or higher will be eligible to sit for the Intermediate Level Exemption Examination. Students who pass this examination may progress directly to the academic program to which they have been formally admitted, without the need to complete the Intermediate level.
  2. The Foundation Program comprises 16 credit hours: 12 credit hours for English language courses and 4 credit hours for the personal skills course, in accordance with a study plan approved by the University Council.
  3. Regulations regarding absence, withdrawal, and dismissal from the Foundation Program shall be governed by the provisions of Article (23) of the Study and Examination Regulations.

To view the Placement Test Date, follow the steps below:

  1. Go to the University of Bahrain Electronic Admission System (admission.uob.edu.bh)
  2. Click on Post Apply Services.
  3. Sign in:
    • Enter your username (University ID number).
    • Enter the password you created when submitting your application. (Note: You can reset your password by clicking the “Forgot Password?” link and following the standard steps to reset it.)
  4. Click on  English Exam Information

* This service is available only for new students admitted into the orientation program.

All students who did not attend the exemption examination for the preparatory program will be automatically enrolled in the Pre-Intermediate level.

Students admitted to the College of Applied Studies may request a transfer to other programs if they meet the following required conditions:

  1. Successfully completed the first semester of the Associate Degree Program with a cumulative GPA no less than 3.5 out of 4.00, with a minimum of 12 credits.
  2. Successfully completed the second semester of the Associate Degree Program with a cumulative GPA no less than 3.00 out of 4.00, with a minimum of 30 credits.
  3. Successfully completed the Associate Degree Program with a cumulative GPA no less than 3.00 out of 4.00
  • (Accepted) Application, the message that appears:

The university apologizes for not accepting your application at present, and if you still wish to join any vacancies that may be available after the admission confirmation process, please press the (YES) button during the admission confirmation period or press the (NO) button if you no longer wish to join the university.

Students will then be allowed to determine their Preferences according to the vacancies available in the College of Applied Studies, the College of Science and the College of Engineering.

  • (Not Final) Application, the message that appears:

The university, while appreciating your valuable trust in it, and based on the communication that took place by those concerned with the Department of Admission and Alumni Affairs, whether – by phone call or by sending an e-mail or SMS text message -, the university apologizes to you for not accepting your application for admission due to not completing the submission of the documents required to complete the admission procedures.

Therefore, if you still wish to join the university, the applicant can update his/her information on the Admission System of University of Bahrain (admission.uob.edu.bh) through the links bellow:

    • Update Application Information and Preferences.
    • Modify Uploaded Documents.

  • (Under Review) Application, the message that appears:

The University, while appreciating your valued trust, would like to inform you that your request is still under review and verification by the Admissions and Alumni Affairs Department. You will be contacted once the review process is complete.

  • (Complete and Under Review) Application, the message that appears:

The University highly values your trust and would like to inform you that your application has been reviewed and verified. You will be notified of the admission decision upon completion of the admission procedures.

Admissions Department Procedure:
These requests will be reviewed after the admission confirmation period ends, and they will be accepted based on the availability of seats in the academic programs.

(Rejected) students, the message that appears: You will see a message stating that according to the university’s rules and regulations, you are not allowed to enroll in the University of Bahrain.

Admission confirmation will be completed through the Admission System of University of Bahrain (admission.uob.edu.bh) only. To confirm your admission and secure your seat, please follow the steps below:

  6. The student pays the tuition fees through the Information & eGovernment Authority website, or — for students sponsored by a scholarship entity — the sponsor must approve the admission by clicking the approval button.
Confirmation Period Students can confirm their admission by following these steps:

  1. Log in to the Admission System (admission.uob.edu.bh).
  2. Select “Admission Post Service” from the list of options.
  3. Sign in:
    • Enter your username (University ID number).
    • Enter the password you created when submitting your application. (Note: You can reset your password by clicking the “Forgot Password?” link and following the standard steps to reset it.)
  4. View the academic program in which they have been accepted, with the option to print the admission letter.
  5. Check the available vacancies in other academic programs.
  6. Agree to a declaration confirming that they are aware of the academic warning and dismissal regulations.
  7. Pay the tuition fees through the Information and e-Government Authority website. For students sponsored by a scholarship body, confirmation is completed once the sponsor approves the admission by clicking the approval button.

Major Selection Changes Students who have completed the admission confirmation process and paid the required fees may request to change their preferences, based on available vacancies. This can be done through the Admission System of University of Bahrain  during the confirmation period only.

Steps to submit a major change request:

  1. Log into the Admission System : admisson.uob.edu.bh
  2. Select the service: Post Admission Service – Admission Confirmation Procedures
  3. Sign in:
    • Enter your username (University ID number).
    • Enter the password you created when submitting your application. (Note: You can reset your password by clicking the “Forgot Password?” link and following the standard steps to reset it.)
  4. Choose up to 12 preferred academic programs

Note: Applicants who applied through the Kingdom of Bahrain’s National Portal (bahrain.bh), as well as students who have forgotten their password, can reset their password by selecting the “Forgot Password?” option and following the password reset instructions.

Requests will be reviewed by the Deanship of Admission and Registration after the confirmation period ends, based on the university’s rules and regulations and available vacancies in academic programs.

Important Notes

  • Admission will be considered canceled if not confirmed within the specified timeframe.
  • Admission is offered once a year for the first semester only.
  • Admission deferral is not allowed.
  • Sponsored students can print the acceptance letter and submit it to their sponsor.

If your nationality is not correctly reflected on the admission confirmation screen, despite holding Bahraini nationality, being a child of a Bahraini mother, or being the wife of a Bahraini, please follow these steps to update your information:

  1. Go to the Admission System   (admission.uob.edu.bh )
  2. Select “Post Apply Service” from the list of options.
  3. Sign in:
    – Enter your username (University ID number).
    – Enter the password you created when submitting your application. (Note: You can reset your password by clicking the “Forgot Password?” link and following the standard steps to reset it.)
  4. Access the option (Request to Update Nationality).
  5. Please enter the correct information and upload the required documents.
  6. Please review the citizenship update by showing the correct nationality on the pledge page, so upon modification, you can complete the admission confirmation procedures and pay tuition fees.

 Need to Cancel Your Admission?

Admission Cancellation is done online through the University of Bahrain Electronic Admission System.

Follow these steps to cancel your admission:

  1. Go to the Admission System admission.uob.edu.bh
  2.  Log in using your university number and password.
  3. Click on Menu, then select My Request, and choose Cancel Admission Request.
  4. Click on Add Cancel Admission Request to complete your cancellation application.

Your cancellation request will be automatically processed, and the status will change from New to Approved.

1. How can I apply for admission to the University of Bahrain?

You can apply electronically.

Category 1:

  • Bahraini and non-Bahraini applicants who graduated from public schools (graduates of the current or previous academic year).

They can apply through the Kingdom of Bahrain’s National Portal (Bahrain.bh).

Category 2:

13. Can I cancel my admission application?
Yes.

15. I have been accepted — what is the next step?
After the admission result is announced, you must complete the admission confirmation procedures and fulfill any other requirements according to the announced instructions.

16. I was not accepted — can I apply again?
If you were not admitted to the university, this may be due to several reasons, such as incomplete data or required documents, or not meeting the admission requirements. In these cases, the university provides an additional period to complete the data and documents and to reconsider admission applications, in accordance with the specified timeline and approved procedures.

17. Can I apply if I am currently studying at another university?
No.

18. Can I apply if I am outside the Kingdom of Bahrain?
Yes, applications are submitted electronically.

1. What browser is recommended for submitting an admission application through the University of Bahrain Electronic Admission System (admission.uob.edu.bh)?
When applying through the University of Bahrain Electronic Admission System (admission.uob.edu.bh), students are advised to:

  • Use a computer during the application process.
  • Access the website using the Google Chrome browser.
  • Allow pop-up windows to enable navigation to new pages.

2. Can I submit a request to change my preference after the admission confirmation process?
Yes, you may submit a request to change your preference for any program with available vacancies at the time of the request. After completing the admission confirmation process and paying tuition fees, please log back into the admission confirmation screens on the website (admission.uob.edu.bh) and select the “Post Admission Service” to select 12 preferences — within the same confirmation period. Requests will be reviewed after the confirmation period ends, according to the vacancies available in the programs.

3. If I do not pass the admission test for the major I was nominated for, what should I do?
You will be directed — within a specified period after being notified of not passing the admission test — to reapply to the preferences that will be available in order to select an alternative major.

Who is exempt from the Preparatory Program?
Students with the following averages or grades in general secondary school, or its equivalent — subject to the provisions of Article 10 — are exempt from the Preparatory Program:

  • Students with a general secondary school average of no less than 90%.
  • Students with an average grade of no less than 90% across all English language courses in secondary school.
  • Graduates of private schools following the IB, A-Level, or AP systems are exempt from the Preparatory Program.
  • Students holding a valid IELTS certificate with a score of no less than 5.5, or its TOEFL equivalent, provided the student submits the certificate to the university’s English Language Center before starting their studies.

Students with a general secondary school average between 70% and 89.99% are permitted to sit the English Language Preparatory Program exemption exam administered by the university’s English Language Center. The date and time of the English language placement exam will be sent via SMS.

1. Can I transfer more than once?
Yes, you are entitled to two transfers only.

2. When can I apply for a transfer?
You can apply during the transfer period announced by the university in the academic calendar.

3. What are the conditions for transferring between programs?
Students can review the detailed conditions on the University of Bahrain website.

4. Can I transfer from one program to another within the university?
Yes, a student can apply to transfer between programs at the University of Bahrain in accordance with the approved terms and regulations.

5. Is it possible to transfer to any major?
No, transfers depend on seat availability/vacancies and meeting the specific admission requirements for each program.

6. Can I transfer from one college to another?
Yes, transferring between colleges is possible subject to meeting the conditions and seat availability in the desired program.

7. What conditions must be met to transfer from an associate diploma to a bachelor’s degree?
You can find the full conditions on the Deanship of Admission and Registration page on the university website or through the e-services portal.

8. How are transfer applicants selected?
Admission is based on seat availability and the highest cumulative GPA.

9. Can I transfer if I have only completed 8 credit hours?
Yes, provided the 8 completed hours are equivalent to 3 courses.

10. I am a sponsored student. Am I eligible to apply for a transfer?
Yes, on the condition that you attach a letter of no objection from your sponsoring entity.

11. Am I eligible to apply for a transfer after completing only the foundation semester?
No, you must meet the necessary conditions for transfer, including successfully completing three courses or completing no fewer than 9 and no more than 66 credit hours.

12. Am I eligible to apply for a transfer to a major I previously studied and then transferred out of?
No, that is not permitted.

13. Am I eligible to apply for a transfer to a bachelor’s program after having transferred to an applied program?
You are not eligible to transfer to a bachelor’s program if you had previously transferred from one to an applied program.

14. I am a student who was dismissed from a bachelor’s program. Am I eligible to apply for a transfer to an associate diploma?
A dismissed student is not eligible to apply for a transfer after dismissal.

15. I submitted a transfer application and was then dismissed before the results were announced. Will my application continue to be processed or be cancelled?
The transfer application is cancelled if the student is dismissed from the university.

16. Is my secondary school track considered when I submit a transfer application?
Yes, your secondary school specialization is taken into consideration when you submit your transfer application.

17. Are there fees for submitting a transfer application from one department to another within the same college?
No, there are no fees for that.

18. Are there fees for submitting a transfer application from a major in one college to a different major in another college?
Yes, there is a transfer fee of BD 10.

19. Does transferring affect my cumulative GPA?
Yes, the cumulative GPA is reset and recalculated according to the approved academic system, while taking into account any courses that have been granted equivalency.

20. Will my previously completed courses be counted?
The equivalency of relevant courses is assessed according to university regulations and the new program.

21. Does submitting a transfer application guarantee admission?
No, the transfer application is subject to a competitive selection process and meeting the admission requirements of the desired program.

22. How can I find out the result of my transfer application?
Admission results will be announced via SMS message or through the notification system on your student portal.

23. Can I cancel my transfer application after submitting it?
This can only be done while the application is under review, according to the university’s approved procedures, and also within one week after the transfer results are announced.

24. What happens if my transfer application is rejected?
You will continue in your current program and may apply again in a subsequent transfer period if the conditions are met.

25. Does transferring delay my graduation?
Transferring may affect the duration of your studies depending on which courses are accepted for credit and which are not.

1. Where and how can I view the schedule of courses offered for the next semester?
The course schedule can be viewed through the link provided on the announcements page on the University website (uob.edu.bh).

2. How can I find out when my courses will be registered for the next semester?
This can be done through the announcements page on the University’s website, in addition to social media.

3. How can I find out who my academic advisor is?
This can be done by looking at the student’s academic data page in the Student Information Management System (SIS). If the name of your academic advisor does not appear on the mentioned page, you can contact the relevant academic department.

4. What are the cases that require the use of the electronic help page (the Help Desk)?
Through this help page in the registration system, you can write and record the issues you face regarding the registration of your courses, as those concerned from the registration department will find a solution, or explain and clarify the matter to you in the event of any confusion, as this page is dedicated to dealing with several registration issues.

5. What is the necessary procedure if I want to register a new course whose lab time interferes with the lab time of another course I have registered, or the time of another lecture?
The student will see a notification on his registration page indicating this conflict, and he will have two options: to cancel the course registration application, or submit his scheduled registration application to the relevant academic department head, who has the right to accept or reject the application according to objective academic considerations.

6. What can I do if the course I want to register for is conditional on the approval of the head of the academic department concerned with the course?
The system will allow you to send a request to the head of the course department if:

  • It is an application to register in the practical training course.
  • It is an application to register in one of the courses that requires the approval of the head of the academic department.

7. When should I pay the fees after completing my courses registration for the next semester?
Between the two semesters, or the so-called drop and add period, before the start of classes, as the date for payment shall be announced then.

8. How can the student know what he has accomplished from his study plan and what is left for him, so that he can plan for the courses to register for the next semester?
He can do this through the subtitle (Degree Audit) listed on the student’s academic data page.

9. Is there a way for the student to know – hypothetically – his GPA?
He can do this through the subtitle (GPA Simulator) listed — also — on the student’s academic data page.
