Team Bahrain Wins First Place in ‘Networking Track’ Huawei ICT 2025 Competition
The Kingdom of Bahrain’s team, participating in the Huawei Global ICT Competition 2025 – Global Finals, won the first-place medal in the Networks Track, competing against 40 teams from various countries.
During the closing ceremony held in Shenzhen, China, the first-place medal was awarded to Team Bahrain, which included Sara Jawad Al Dawood, a student in the Computer Engineering Department at the College of Information Technology, University of Bahrain, along with Mohammed Al Kufi and Sara Jawad from Bahrain Polytechnic.
The ICT competition is organized by Huawei as part of the company’s corporate social responsibility initiatives to nurture talented young individuals. The Huawei ICT Competition aims to collaborate with UNESCO, government authorities, and higher education institutions across the Middle East and Central Asia to identify, support, and develop future ICT leaders.
On May 26, 2025, the closing ceremony and award distribution for the Huawei ICT 2024–2025 Global Finals took place in Shenzhen, China. More than 210,000 students and teachers from over 2,000 colleges and universities across more than 100 countries and regions participated in the ninth edition. From the national and regional qualifiers, 179 teams representing 48 countries advanced to the global finals.
