University of Bahrain and King Saud University Sign MoU to Enhance Academic and Scientific Cooperation

On the sidelines of the fourth meeting of the Bahraini-Saudi Coordination Council, chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and  His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the University of Bahrain and King Saud University.

The MoU was signed on behalf of the Bahraini side by H.E. Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education, and on behalf of the Saudi side by H.E. Mr. Salman Bin Yousef al-Dosari, Minister of Media.

The MoU aims to broaden academic and scientific cooperation between the two institutions and develop partnerships aligned with the higher education and research priorities of both brotherly nations. It establishes an institutional framework to facilitate collaboration, joint planning, and the exploration of new opportunities to exchange expertise in relevant fields.

The signing of the MoU reflects a shared commitment to strengthen regional cooperation and understanding between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. It establishes joint programs designed to deepen academic integration and leverage shared expertise. Furthermore, the MoU aims to enhance teaching and research initiatives while developing the professional capabilities of faculty and students at both institutions.

The MoU includes joint cooperation in several key areas, most notably scientific research and publication, collaboration on academic programs, as well as the exchange of faculty members and students. This will enhance educational and research experiences and expand opportunities for academic development for both parties.

Both sides emphasized that this step marks the beginning of a new phase of constructive cooperation, contributing to the achievement of common goals and elevating the level of academic and research outputs.
