University of Bahrain Enhances Professional Lesson Planning Using AI Tools

The University of Bahrain held an online workshop on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, titled “Artificial Intelligence in Formulating Lesson Plans.”

The workshop aimed to guide faculty members in using generative AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini to develop lesson plans efficiently, based on the RCTF framework for crafting effective educational prompts.

The session included four progressive hands-on modules, starting with theoretical foundations and culminating in the development of ready-to-implement lesson plans, as well as the creation of customized prompt libraries for faculty members, within a clear ethical framework for responsible use.

The workshop was delivered by Dr. Raed Ebrahim Al-Jowder, Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the College of Engineering, as part of a series organized by the Unit for Teaching Excellence and Leadership (UTEL) at the University of Bahrain.
