University of Bahrain Explains Quality Assurance Guidelines for Exceptional Circumstances
The University of Bahrain’s Quality Assurance and Accreditation Center (QAAC), in collaboration with the Unit for Teaching Excellence and Leadership (UTEL), organized an interactive remote workshop on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, via Microsoft Teams.
Titled “Quality Assurance Guidelines for Exceptional Circumstances Affecting Teaching, Learning, and Assessment,” the workshop drew participation from academics and administrators across the university.
The session highlighted key points from the QAAC’s recently issued guidebook and discussed the main factors that could disrupt the normal progression of educational activities during a crisis, impacting the continuity of teaching, learning, and assessment. It also covered remote teaching and learning guidelines as a flexible approach to overcoming these challenges, while preserving the core principles that ensure the quality of education, fair assessment, and effective learning outcomes.
The workshop was presented by Shaikha Naser Al Kaabi, Head of the Quality Assurance and Academic Excellence Department at the University of Bahrain.
