University of Bahrain Explores Applying the Professional Standards Framework in Distance Learning

The University of Bahrain held an online workshop on Monday, April 13, 2026, titled “From Framework to Practice: Applying the PSF in Distance Learning Contexts.”

The workshop aimed to explore the Professional Standards Framework (PSF) and its application in distance learning environments, covering approaches to integrating distance learning across PSF dimensions, as well as key lessons learned from the shift to online and hybrid education.

The session also addressed developments in assessment and academic integrity, the importance of student support and wellbeing, challenges related to the digital divide, and the need for continuous professional development and collaboration.

The workshop was delivered by Dr. Mohamed Abdulla, Assistant Professor at the College of Health & Sport Sciences, as part of a series organized by the Unit for Teaching Excellence and Leadership (UTEL) at the University of Bahrain, and concluded with an interactive Q&A session discussing practical recommendations.
