University of Bahrain Holds Introductory Workshop on Power BI for Staff

Academic and administrative staff at the University of Bahrain were introduced to the Power BI platform and its tools in an online workshop titled “Introduction to Power BI for Beginners” on Tuesday, 30 June 2026.

This hands-on introductory workshop gave participants a practical understanding of Microsoft Power BI and its role in modern data analytics and business intelligence.

Ms. Dheya Ahmed Thani, Head of the Development Section at the IT Center at the University, delivered the interactive session, introducing attendees to the fundamentals of connecting to data sources, preparing and transforming data, creating interactive visualizations, and building professional dashboards that support data-driven decision-making.

The workshop was offered by the Unit for Teaching Excellence and Leadership at the University of Bahrain as part of a series of professional development workshops aimed at enhancing the technical skills of university staff.
