University of Bahrain Hosts ISACA Bahrain International Conference 2025 Session on AI, Analytics, and Forensic Governance
As part of its continued collaboration with the ISACA Bahrain Chapter, the University of Bahrain’s College of Information Technology organized the ISACA Bahrain International Conference 2025, which brought together professionals, academics, and guests around the evolving role of technology in governance and assurance. ISACA Bahrain members and guests were invited to attend the session “AI, Analytics, and Forensic Governance,” held on Monday 17th November 2025, University of Bahrain. The session was delivered by Dr Durgesh Pandey, a forensic accounting expert.
The session explored how artificial intelligence and analytics strengthen continuous fraud monitoring and enable early detection of irregularities. Participants examined a practical case study involving structured and unstructured data analysis, learned how to safeguard the integrity and admissibility of evidence derived from analytics, and considered how collaboration between IT and business teams can build technology-enabled governance. The discussion also connected analytical findings to regional governance frameworks that enhance oversight and accountability.
The event reflected the University of Bahrain’s strategy of linking higher education with professional practice by giving faculty, students, and industry practitioners a shared platform for knowledge exchange. Through its partnership with ISACA Bahrain, a leading professional organization in information systems governance and cybersecurity, the University advanced digital literacy, ethical data use, and institutional accountability. This collaboration highlights the value of multi-sector partnerships in supporting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), and aligns with Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030.
