University of Bahrain Introduces Its Staff to the Policy of Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion

A awareness-raising introductory workshop for University of Bahrain staff—both academic and administrative—was held at the University of Bahrain on Sunday, 30 November 2025, under the title “The Policy of Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion at the University of Bahrain.” The workshop was organized by the Unit of Excellence in Education and Leadership Skills, in collaboration with the University’s Equal Opportunities Committee.

The workshop emphasized the existence of internal policies that support gender balance, highlighting the fundamental concepts of the gender equality policy, its importance, scope of application, and the principles adopted by the responsible authorities when implementing these policies.

It also included practical applications and the presentation of real-life practices related to the implementation of gender equality, in addition to outlining the disciplinary measures imposed on those who violate this policy.

The workshop was delivered by Dr. Wafaa Jassim Al-Wafi, Head of the Department of Private Law at the College of Law, University of Bahrain.
