University of Bahrain Meets Student Bodies to Strengthen Their Role in Quality Assurance
The University of Bahrain met with representatives of student societies and organizations to reinforce the active partnership between the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Centre (QAAC ) and students, who are key partners in the quality framework.
Held remotely via Microsoft Teams on Tuesday, 12 May 2026, the meeting sought to raise student awareness of the QAAC’s role, practices, and direct impact on academic program quality, the learning experience, and national and international accreditation.
The discussions focused on students’ role as partners in achieving quality objectives and continuous improvement, alongside the QAAC’s function and impact. The session also reviewed student satisfaction survey findings and how the results are utilized.
The meeting further sought to increase students’ understanding of academic accreditation and quality concepts, as well as the National Qualifications Framework, in order to promote integrity and ensure transparency in quality assurance practices. A live poll was conducted during the session to gauge student opinions and their assessment of the Centre’s performance and communication channels.
The meeting was held by the QAAC team, led by Dr. Shaikha Fay bint Abdulla Al Khalifa, Director of the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Centre at the University of Bahrain.
