University of Bahrain Offers Faculty a Hands-On Experience in Integrating AI into Teaching

A workshop held at the University of Bahrain on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, gave faculty members practical experience in effectively integrating artificial intelligence into teaching and assessment.

Titled “Integrating AI into the Classroom: Reimagining Assessment,” the workshop focused on simplifying AI concepts and applying them in an ethical and practical manner.

The workshop covered four main themes: AI fundamentals, AI in education, hands-on application, and challenges and solutions. It emphasized the SLSC (Strategize, Leverage, Scrutinize, Apply) model for intelligent prompting.

Participants learned to prepare lesson plans, generate assessments and grading rubrics, provide personalized feedback, and enhance teaching practices using data.

The workshop was organized by the Unit for Teaching Excellence and Leadership (UTEL)and was delivered by Dalal Abdulkareem Mukhallaf, Senior Lecturer at the University of Bahrain’s English Language Centre.
