University of Bahrain Organizes Workshop on Effective Academic Interaction with Students of Determination

The University of Bahrain organized an interactive workshop titled “Effective Academic Interaction with People of Determination in University Classrooms” on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, introducing academic staff at Educational Institutions to strategies for building an inclusive educational environment that accommodates students’ diverse physical and mental abilities.

The workshop was delivered by Dr. Fatema Al-Malki, Dean of Student Affairs, who addressed the academic perspective on human diversity, possible accommodations, the methodological shift from student remediation to designing supportive environments, visible and invisible disabilities, and strategies for overcoming academic challenges.

This workshop is part of a series organized by the Unit for Teaching Excellence and Leadership (UTEL) at the University of Bahrain, aimed at developing teaching staff skills and fostering a supportive, inclusive learning environment.
