The Equal Opportunities Committee at the University of Bahrain held its third meeting for the year 2025 to discuss key preparations for the upcoming celebration of Bahraini Women’s Day at the university campus.

The meeting was chaired by the Dean of the College of Health and Sports Sciences, Dr. Lina Mohammed Khanji, and was attended by committee members representing various colleges and administrative departments at the university.

During the meeting, the committee reviewed the main proposals and conceptual frameworks for the celebration, examined initiatives implemented during the previous period, and discussed the review and update of the operational plan. The committee also planned the launch of new initiatives as part of its work program for the 2025–2026 academic year.

The committee further recommended intensifying efforts in the upcoming phase by organizing workshops and awareness lectures based on a field study of the needs of working women at the university, in addition to planning equal training opportunities for both genders. These efforts aim to enhance gender balance and reinforce the principle of equal opportunities among all members of the university community.

The University of Bahrain participates annually in the celebrations of Bahraini Women’s Day, observed on December 1 each year. This national occasion highlights the journey of dedication and achievement of Bahraini women across various fields, affirming their pioneering role and active contribution to the national development process.
