University of Bahrain Shines at the Fifth Bahrain Society of Engineers Award
During the Bahraini Engineer Day celebration, held on 31 October 2024, the winners of the Fifth Bahrain Society of Engineers Award for Best Graduation Projects across various engineering disciplines were announced. University of Bahrain (UOB) students demonstrated outstanding excellence, achieving top positions in multiple categories.
In the Civil Engineering category, the University of Bahrain secured both first and second places. First place was awarded to Engineer Lubna Omar Mohammed and Engineer Noora Hassan Hussain, while second place went to Engineer Shawqi Abbas Al-Qattan, Engineer Iman Amer Mohammed, and Engineer Aqib Khan Sar. Third place was awarded to Engineer Dalal Badr Ahmed Ali from Applied Science University.
In the Architecture Engineering category, UOB students dominated all top positions, with Engineer Aisha Abdulaziz securing first place, Engineer Ibrahim Jameel second place, and Engineer Zainab Abdulhussain third place.
In the Chemical Engineering category, UOB students achieved first and second places. First place was awarded to Engineer Mohammed Abdulredha, Engineer Hussain Ali, and Engineer Ahmed Al-Wathiq, while second place went to Engineer Firas Al-Khunayzi, Engineer Fatima Abdulhameed, and Engineer Mohammed Abdulhameed.
In the Electrical and Electronic Engineering category, first place was secured by Engineer Ibrahim Al-Malki and Engineer Mohammed Hamoud from Ahlia University. University of Bahrain students claimed both second and third places, with second place awarded to Engineer Zainab Al-Matrook, Engineer Salman Mohammed, and Engineer Zainab Humaid, and third place to Engineer Hussain Hassan, Engineer Sayed Jaafar Ibrahim, and Engineer Ali Jaafar.
These achievements highlight the academic excellence and practical competence of University of Bahrain students, reaffirming the university’s leading role in preparing highly qualified engineers who contribute effectively to innovation and sustainable development in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
