University of Bahrain Showcases Key Scientific Research Achievements 2023-2024
The Deanship of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research at the University of Bahrain showcased its key scientific research achievements during the period from 2023 to August 2026, as part of the university’s efforts to promote a culture of scientific research, support innovation, and establish academic and research excellence.
The data revealed key performance indicators, which included: 1,264 scientific papers published in journals issued by the Deanship, 2,357 research papers presented at 36 scientific conferences organized by the Deanship, 54 training workshops delivered for faculty members, graduate students, and undergraduates, and a 96% satisfaction rate among beneficiaries of research activities.
Strategic achievements included promoting a culture of research and innovation, building research capacity, advancing scientific publishing, organizing scientific conferences and forums, supporting the research ecosystem by providing essential resources, and encouraging collaboration and knowledge exchange.
Additional efforts included the development of the research environment, support for research projects, monitoring of research groups, and the identification of university-level research priorities. These were complemented by capacity-building initiatives in research and innovation, the strengthening of research specializations, the promotion of interdisciplinary research, and the cultivation of an active, vibrant research environment on campus.
The research ecosystem also witnessed the organization of a series of international conferences in fields such as engineering and emerging technologies, sustainability and resilience, digital humanities, data analytics, business and Islamic finance, and informatics, computing, and intelligent technologies.
Looking ahead, the Deanship of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research plans to hold six additional international and local conferences during 2026.
