University of Bahrain Trains Government Staff in Strategic Planning
The University of Bahrain (UOB) conducted a training course for employees of the Ministry of Interior, Customs Affairs, and the Al Mabarrah Khalifia, titled “Strategic Planning.” The course was organized by the Community Service and Continuing Education Center, in collaboration with the Unit for Teaching Excellence iand Leadership at UOB on Sunday (February 8, 2026).
Throughout the course, participants learned the fundamentals of strategic and operational planning, including how to prepare an internal and external environmental analysis model (S.W.O.T. Analysis) and how to analyze key objectives.
The three-day course aimed to introduce participants to the nature of strategic and operational planning and their important roles in advancing government administration, as well as to familiarize them with the principles and methods of preparing strategic and operational plans in the workplace.
The course was presented by Dr. Raed Ebrahim Al-Joder, Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the College of Engineering, UOB.
