University of Bahrain Wins Second Place in the First Edition of the Criminal Law Moot Court Competition

The College of Law at the University of Bahrain achieved second place in the first edition of the Criminal Law Moot Court Competition, organized and supervised by the Judicial and Legal Studies Institute as part of the Youth City 2030 activities held from July to August 2024. In addition, the university team was awarded Best Written Prosecution Memorandum in recognition of their excellence in legal writing, among a competition that included five Bahraini universities.

The University of Bahrain team consisted of Amina Mohamed Hassan Al-Janahi, Rana Emad Youssef Zaki, Salman Khalid Al-Zubari, and Abdulrahman Ahmed Abdulrahman Juma’a, who demonstrated exceptional legal skills throughout the competition. The team was trained and guided by Dr. Shaimaa Abdulrazzaq from the Department of Public Law.

The competition aims to enhance students’ research and legal analysis skills, develop their persuasive advocacy and oral argument abilities, deepen their understanding of criminal law and its procedures, and prepare them to enter the legal profession while gaining practical experience at an early stage.
