UOB Achieves Advance HE Accreditation for New PSF2023 in its Professional Development Programs 

The University of Bahrain’s Unit for Teaching Excellence and Leadership (UTEL) has received official accreditation from the UK Higher Education Academy (Advance HE) for the new Professional Standards Framework 2023 (PSF 2023), marking the third time the unit’s professional development programs have been accredited.

Dr. Fuad Mohammed Al-Ansari, President of the University of Bahrain, commended UTEL’s accomplishment during a meeting with Dr. Amal Mohamed Al-Rayes, Director of UTEL, praising the unit’s efforts to advance faculty development and enhance the overall quality of education for students.

The accreditation covers the following programs: the Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice (PCAP), the Certificate of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in both English and Arabic, and the New to Teaching in Bahrain (NTB) program.

It is noteworthy that the Unit for Teaching Excellence and Leadership at the University of Bahrain first received academic accreditation for its programs in 2016, becoming the first accredited regional center. The accreditation for all its programs in both Arabic and English was renewed in 2022.
