UOB and “Injaz”: Merging Artistic Creativity with Entrepreneurship
The University of Bharain has established a strategic partnership with the “Injaz Bahrain” foundation, aimed at connecting students with the job market. Through this collaboration, undergraduate students in Arts and Design—specifically those undertaking their graduation project—participate in the annual “Company” program launched by the foundation.
This project spans a full academic year, during which students work on developing entrepreneurial art projects under dual supervision. “Injaz” provides a dedicated mentor who meets with each group weekly to assist them in refining ideas, conducting feasibility studies, and developing business plans. Concurrently, the academic supervisor oversees the theoretical and academic aspects of the project.
The project encompasses the development of all elements related to the entrepreneurial venture, from visual identity and advertising campaigns to digital applications and websites. At the conclusion of the program, students participate in the annual competition organized by “Injaz,” where they present their projects to a panel of judges and investors.
Over the years, University of Bahrain students have achieved remarkable success in this competition, with several receiving awards across various categories. This reflects the success of the collaboration in honing students’ talents and equipping them to compete effectively in the job market.
