UOB Celebrates Bahraini Engineer’s Day, Honoring National Engineering Excellence

The University of Bahrain celebrated Bahraini Engineer’s Day on Thursday, 23 October 2025, by honoring a number of professors in recognition of their role in the Kingdom of Bahrain’s development and progress, alongside a group of outstanding students from the College of Engineering.

The ceremony was attended by President of the University of Bahrain, Dr. Fuad Mohammed Al-Ansari, Dr. Shaikha Haifa Ebrahim Mohamed Alkhalifa, Dean of the College of Engineering, members of the College’s academic and administrative staff, and Dr. Raida Al Alawi, President of the Bahraini Society of Engineers. Student societies participated in organizing the event and presented interactive booths for attendees to introduce students to the efforts and activities of each society.

The College of Engineering is committed to celebrating Bahraini Engineer’s Day annually in appreciation of the College’s educational efforts in graduating the engineers of the future and to affirm the importance of education in developing the field of engineering, enriching it with innovation, creativity, and scientific research. The Kingdom of Bahrain celebrates Bahraini Engineer’s Day on the 15th of October each year. This day aims to appreciate the efforts of Bahraini engineers across various engineering specializations.
