UOB Equips Students with Future Skills for Financial Services

Students from the Colleges of Business Administration and Information Technology at the University of Bahrain (UOB) participated in a lecture titled “Future Skills Required in the Financial Services Sector”. The event was organized by the University’s Graduate Affairs Directorate in cooperation with the Economic Development Board (EDB).

The lecture aimed to enhance UOB students’ awareness—particularly third and fourth-year undergraduate students—on the role of direct investment in supporting economic development and creating suitable career opportunities that align with their university specializations.

Furthermore, the lecture helped connect students with the banking and investment sector through cooperation with J.P. Morgan. This provided them with insights into the realities and future prospects of the job market, enhancing their professional readiness and future employment opportunities.

The participants from J.P. Morgan included: Bernaad Chetty, Vice President, Program Manager, and Head of the Local Technology Center, Sayan Chowdhury, Senior Vice President of Application Development, Antol Manvindra Shandi, Vice President of Application Development, Ghalia Ali Salem, Vice President, Co-Head of EMEA Branches, Fatima Talib Al Alawi, Software Engineer, Zaheer Abdulreda Al Madhoob, Automation Engineer, Batool Ali Al Khobaz, Software Engineer, and Ali Hassan Ammar, Software Engineer.
