UOB President Explores Cooperation with Bahrain Foundation for Dialogue

Dr. Fuad Mohammed Al-Ansari, President of the University of Bahrain, praised the Bahrain Foundation for Dialogue’s role in promoting communication, fostering a culture of understanding, and encouraging acceptance of diversity within Bahraini society. He emphasized the university’s commitment to building purposeful community partnerships that reinforce positive values and promote openness among different segments of society, particularly youth and students.

Dr. AlAnsari met with Suhail bin Ghazi Algosaibi, Chairman of the Bahrain Foundation for Dialogue (BDF), on Sunday, 12 October 2025, at the UOB campus in Sakhir, where they discussed potential avenues for collaboration and joint coordination.

Algosaibi expressed the society’s eagerness to cooperate with the University of Bahrain by offering lectures, seminars, training workshops, and specialized courses for administrative and academic staff, as well as students. These initiatives aim to instill the values of dialogue, develop communication skills, and foster a culture of positive coexistence within the university environment.

Concluding the meeting, Dr. AlAnsari received a copy of the book “The Story of the Bahraini Foundation for Dialogue” as a gift from the foundation.

Attending on behalf of UOB were Dr. Esra Ahmed Wali, Vice President for Partnerships and Development; Dr. Hessa Jassim Al-Junaid, Vice President for Academic Affairs; and Dr. Dheya Abdulla Alkaabi, Dean of the College of Arts. From BFD, attendees included Abbas Mansoor Hamada, Executive Manager; Nuha Hassan Karmustaji, Board of Trustees member; and Dr. Sharaf Mohammed Al-Mezaal, Foundation member.
