UOB Students Compare Sharia-compliant and Prohibited Financial Products
Students of Islamic Banking in the College of Business Administration participated in an exhibition comparing Sharia-compliant and prohibited financial products as part of their course on Riba (interest/prohibited gain) and Prohibited Transactions.
Students of Islamic Banking at the University of Bahrain’s College of Business Administration took part in an exhibition titled “Sharia-Compliant and Prohibited Products in Financial Institutions,” which was held in the college lobby.
The students showcased illustrative examples of prohibited financial products and the reasons for their prohibition, while presenting corresponding Sharia-compliant alternatives available in financial markets.
The event also featured notable engagement through diverse activities, including purposeful questions and educational competitions, which helped deepen attendees’ understanding of how to distinguish between different financial products.
