UOB Students Explore the Future of Bahrain’s Banking & Financial Services Sector

Students at the University of Bahrain were informed on the career opportunities available in the banking and financial services sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain, as it is one of the most prominent and growing career sectors that accommodates a wide variety of university majors.

 

This came during an introductory meeting presented by Ali Moosa Shafiee, Vice Chairman of Singapore Gulf Bank and EDB board member, along with Isa Jaafar Mubarak, EDB’s Media and Communication Director.

 

The meeting, which was organized by the University’s Career Guidance Office under the title “Envisioning the future of the financial services sector in Bahrain and the skills required in the labor market,” discussed the skills and university majors required in the financial and banking labor market at the local and global levels, in addition to the role of the EDB in attracting international companies and banks to work in the Kingdom.
