UOB Student’s Painting Auctioned at Sovereign Charity Event

Yasser Saeed, a student at the University of Bahrain (UOB), won first place in the fifth category of the Sovereign Art Foundation Charity Awards. The event, organized by the Royal Humanitarian Foundation in partnership with the Sovereign Art Foundation, took place at the Four Seasons Hotel. His painting was sold at the auction for 20,000 dinars.

Saeed’s artwork was among the winning pieces auctioned at a ceremony under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty’s Representative for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs.

The auction and exhibition raised BD 686,210 (six hundred eighty-six thousand two hundred ten dinars), with proceeds supporting educational and health initiatives for students under the foundation’s care.
