UOB Students Secure Second Place in Third Padel Tournament

The University of Bahrain claimed second place in the Third Padel Universities Championship, held on May 1-2, 2025. Sheikh Saqr bin Salman Al Khalifa, President of the Bahrain Sports School and College Athletic Association, honored UOB’s winning team with silver medals during the awards presentation.

The championship featured 16 teams from leading universities across Bahrain, including: Irish University, Applied Science University, Ahlia University, University of Technology Bahrain (UTB), Arab Open University, Bahrain Polytechnic, Kingdom University, American University of Bahrain, and University of Bahrain.

The university fielded four talented players, in the Women’s Team: Shaikha Al-Dosari and Malak Karouni, and in the Men’s Team: Abdullah Abdulrahman and Ibrahim Ashir.

 

This participation comes as part of the University of Bahrain’s commitment to supporting student sports activities and enhancing its presence in local university competitions, contributing to the development of students’ skills and promoting sportsmanship and teamwork.
