UOB UTEL Introduces Academics to the Khalifa Award for Education
A team from the Ministry of Education, responsible for the 19th cycle of the Khalifa Award for Education, in coordination with the Unit for Teaching Excellence and Leadership at the University of Bahrain, held an introductory lecture on Monday (September 22, 2025) for the university’s academics. The session aimed to introduce the award, organized in the United Arab Emirates, which seeks to advance educational work in both the UAE and the Arab world.
Dr. Kawther Rashed Al-Mawoda, Teacher Training Consultant at Bahrain’s Ministry of Education and the Khalifa Award Coordinator in the Kingdom of Bahrain, presented the award’s participation criteria. She emphasized its objectives of supporting education and the educational field, motivating outstanding educators, and encouraging innovative teaching practices. She also highlighted the award categories available to academics and university professors, including: Higher Education, Distinguished University Professor, Innovation in Teaching Arabic, and Educational Research.
