UOB Wins Award for Best Work Environment for Digital Innovation

The University of Bahrain has won the “Best Work Environment for Digital Innovation” award in the government sector during the closing ceremony of the 13th edition of the “eGovernment Excellence Award 2025.”

The university was honored for its “University of Bahrain Digital Innovation System” in a ceremony held under the patronage of General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Ministerial Committee for Information and Communication Technology. The event was attended by a number of ministers, senior officials, and sector experts.

The ceremony was held under the slogan “Digital Excellence and Government Innovation,” coinciding with the 30th anniversary of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s connection to the Internet. The event honored all the winning entities and individuals of the award, which aims to crown the most prominent distinguished digital projects and initiatives.

The “eGovernment Excellence Award” was launched in 2008 and seeks to promote the journey of digital transformation and entrench a culture of innovation in the Kingdom. Each edition attracts wide participation from various government, private, and civil sectors, as well as individuals.
