UOB’s UTEL Introduces Faculty to Intellectual Property Rights and Policies
Faculty members from the College of Law at the University of Bahrain participated in a workshop titled “University Policies and Intellectual Property Rights: Models from Selected Arab Universities,”. The event was organized by the University’s Unit for Teaching Excellence and Leadership.
Dr. Hanan Mohamed Al-Mawala, Associate Professor at the College of Law and the workshop’s presenter, highlighted the university policies governing intellectual property, their mechanisms, and objectives, drawing on examples from various Arab universities. She explained how these policies address the rights of universities and their affiliates (faculty members and students) regarding the outcomes of innovative work in arts, literature, and sciences, as well as industrial property such as inventions.
