UOB’s UTEL Welcomes New Faculty Members

The Unit for Teaching Excellence and Leadership (UTEL) at the University of Bahrain welcomed new faculty members at a special meeting on Thursday, October 23, 2025. The event was held at the E-Learning Center on the Sakhir campus.

During the meeting, the unit’s director, Dr. Amal Mohamed Al-Rayes, outlined the University’s teaching and learning policy. She emphasized the importance of integrating research with teaching practice and highlighted UTEL’s services, its mechanisms for enhancing the educational process, and the University’s framework of professional standards.

Dr. Al-Reyes also reviewed methods for course curriculum evaluation, detailing the procedures used to ensure and improve the quality of teaching at the university.

Representatives from UOB’s Human Resources Department and the Quality Assurance Center were also in attendance. They outlined the services available from their respective units and addressed questions from the new faculty members.
