Does your institution provide dedicated training on Environment aspects of Sustainability?

Yes, in collaboration with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), the University of Bahrain introduced three-level SDG courses for students. In addition, UNDP has launched a pioneering academic program that integrates the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into university curricula. This unique initiative offers students the opportunity to engage with sustainable development concepts in a structured academic setting.

Moreover, UTEL has delivered dedicated sustainability training under the title Your Work, Our Future: Driving Sustainability at UoB”, presented by Dr. Muna Ebrahim Yusuf. The session was delivered twice in academic year 2025–26: in Arabic on 26 October 2025, and in English on 12 November 2025, both targeting academic and administrative staff.

The workshop addressed environmental responsibility, sustainable practices within the university context, and UoB’s institutional commitment to sustainability. These sessions form part of UTEL’s structured professional development programme, offered to all staff regardless of role or discipline.
