The University of Bahrain organized a workshop titled “Delivery Methods in Higher Education: Didactic vs. Interactive Teaching Based on AI Tools” on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, attended by a number of academic and administrative staff members.

The interactive workshop explored the differences between didactic and interactive teaching approaches in higher education, with a particular focus on how artificial intelligence tools can support more student-centered learning. Participants examined the shift from teacher-centered to student-centered practices, examples of interactive teaching methods, and how AI can enhance student engagement.

By the end of the session, attendees reflected on their roles as educators, identified strategies to make teaching more interactive both inside and outside the classroom, and explored ways to address challenges that may hinder effective learning.

The workshop was delivered by Dr. Khalil Ebrahim Mubarak, Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics at the College of Science.

The workshop was offered by the Unit for Teaching Excellence and Leadership at the University of Bahrain as part of a series of workshops aimed at enhancing university staff’s technical and teaching skills .
